I have returned from a short & sweet vacation in Greece and it is business as usual again.

Starting with the newly arrived package received from Pedro & 300discos out of which I have immediately fished out the other career album by Chuca-Chuca which was part of my Santa Claus list and now it completes his (known) discography.

There is another pleasant surprise in form of the participation of a, to me, previously unknown female vocal: The mysterious Alvanir.
As you might have guessed, all attempts to find out more by and about her have miserably failed.

Piano player and band leader Gallo has been presented several months ago on Parallel Realities with two tracks on the first volume of the Discoteca Dançante series.

Now finaly we have the chance to listen to his firs career album, out of altogether at least 6 plus several 78 rpms, all recorded between 1957 and 1966

More about this release you may read inside the linear notes written by Leonidas Bastos.

Tito Romero – in reality is special Polydor’s name for João Adelino Leal Brito, AKA Britinho (CBS, Columbia, Odeon, Sinter) / Leal Brito, Al Brito / Pierre Kolmann (Musidisc) and Franca Villa (Sinter). Can the pianoman from another Gerson‘s LP, El Romeu, be Leal Brito too?
Or it is Romeu Fossati (Mocambo)? Who knows?
Vibrafone player Jota Cláudio may be José Cláudio das Neves?

Orquestra Copacabana, presented tonight for the first time on Parallel Realities, has recorded lots of 78 rpm recordings from 1931-1961 but only two albums.

Nos Bailes da Minha Juventude, released in 1961, may best be understood by reading on the back cover an inspired text about the artistic scene at that moment as well as about the musicians and compositions performed, written by the exceptional artist taking part in the recording of this LP as producer and music selector: Lamartine Babo.
