ABOUT ROLANDO BOLDRIN by Edson Mendes:
As I didn’t know this singer, I did some researches and discovered why so many Rolando Boldrin‘s songs are present in the disc repertoire: they were – and still are – married.
Rolando Boldrin is a very prominent character in Brazilian culture: singer, composer, researcher and music producer, actor, TV host, and he is brilliant in
all these activities!

MORE ABOUT LURDINHA by Mr Memory:
A cantora Lurdinha Pereira, nasceu a 04 de Dezembro (apesar de constar na contra-capa como sendo 20 de Junho) do ano de 1936. As faixas Amor Desfeito e Papéis Velhos, haviam sido lançadas no 78 rpm Chantecler 78-0435, em Maio de 1961. Já, as faixas Namorados e Ajuda-me Meu Deus, no 78 rpm Chantecler 78-0500, em Setembro de 1961. Neste LP, contém ainda as faixas Não Devolvi e Lembrança, lançadas originalmente no 78 rpm Chantecler 78-0526, em Novembro de 1961. A guarânia Lembrança, de autoria de José Fortuna (integrante dos Maracanãs), com o arranjo inconfundível do maestro Élcio Alvares, foi o maior sucesso da carreira de Lourdinha Pereira. Atualmente, está residindo na cidade de Franca, interior do estado de São Paulo.

Thanks to Stu Blagden, our friend from England, I am able to present a rarity by Poly (famous for his Hawaiian guitar playing) where he plays the classical bossa nova style guitar.

Note that the title Debut does not mean that it is Poly‘s first album, but it is, I believe, his US debut described on the front cover as The Exciting Premiere of the Brazilian Guitar Virtuoso Poly (released by Epic in 1966?).
