Alda Perdigao – EP (1960)

Odeon EP BWB 1.122 (reissue from another reality)

Several days ago, my friend Simon Boutman, an experienced time traveler, returned from one of his trips through the early sixties with a souvenir:
The lost, forgotten and impossible to find EP by Alda Perdigão from 1960, which he sent to us by mail.
Unfortunately, the EP was without the original cover, but someone else, for whom travels through parallel realities have become a routine, found in another reality existing parallel to the one, most of us consider as the only one, a passable cover, so this EP is ready to be posted and I am doing it right now.

Enjoy Alda‘s beautiful voice while she is performing:

1. Tome Continha de Você (Dolores Duran / Edson Borges)
2. Samba Triste (Baden Powell / Billy Blanco)
3. Fim de Caso (Dolores Duran)
4. Camelô (Billy Blanco)

Alda Perdigao Com Walter Wanderley – Compacto (1960)

A re post from the other reality where this compacto, found in third reality, was posted in the first part of 2011.
Here is the text as originally written at that time:

Some three week ago I received from Yves François, a friend from France, two songs by Alda Perdigão, a singer I like very much, she has recorded back in 1960, accompanied by the great Walter Wanderley.
Yves has downloaded these songs a long time ago from a site that is closed now, but both songs have the same fault: About 10 seconds are missing at the beginning of each track, which leads to the conclusion that the original up loader has recorded them on tape from radio.
Anyway, I had been too busy with other matters and did not have the time and concentration to do anything more than answer mails, so I delayed the presentation of these songs until I finally found time to look for a suitable cover in another reality, upload it and thought up a way to psychologically prepare the visitors of this site not to start writing comments of protest because the songs are not complete.
Complete or not, these two tracks are among the best that Alda has recorded.
So cool and easy…

Stop complaining about the missing beginnings (and have faith that maybe someone will eventually send us the complete tracks one of these days) while listening to:

1. …Samba Triste (Baden Powell / Billy Blanco)
2. …Tome Continha de Você (Dolores Duran / Édson Borges)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: As found on Alda Perdigão – Cantora page on Facebook:

Alda Perdigão foi a primeira intérprete a gravar uma música de Baden Powell. Na ocasião ela mostrou a gravação a ele por telefone, durante a estada do músico em Paris.

NEWS ABOUT ALDA PERDIGÃO by Milan Filipović:

Afonso Duarte, the son of the great singer Alda Perdigão, and me have become friends several years ago, shortly after he noticed on Parallel Realities Studio both career albums and several compactos by his mother Alda, who, like so many great artists from Brazil, was at the time almost completely forgotten even in her own country, so that the fact that she has fans in Belgrade, Serbia was quite a surprise for him.
A short time ago Alda Perdigão opened with Afonso‘s help a fan page on Facebook, which is fortunately accessible also for people (like myself) who do not have a Facebook account, so I could enjoy it as soon as he told me about it and sent me the link:

I am taking this opportunity to thank Alda and Afonso for prominently mentioning Parallel Realities Studio in the first post on the fan page and to re-post some music by Alda, starting with her first career album from 1961 received by Edson Mendes.

The tracks:

01. Samba do Bom  (Sidney Moraes)
02. Brancura (Denis Brean – O. Guilherme)
03. Quando A Esperança Vai Embora (Tito Madi)
04. Chorou, Chorou (Luiz Antonio)
05. Meu Caminho (Sidney Moraes – Anna Luiza)

12. É Fácil Dizer Adeus (Tito Madi)

If you think that it would do your collection of great singers good to be more complete than it already is, then you can search and find on this site both her career albums and some compactos.
You can look also on Toque where you will find another compacto by Alda, as well as on Chiadophone where you can listen (and download by recording the sound with your sound recorder) four more tracks.
.
If you are interested in finding information about Alda‘s career, the adress to look for it is here.

EDIT:
Rapidshare has changed it’s rules once more in a blunt public display of insatiable greed, limiting free users in downloading files even more. As Parallel Realities Studio is completely non commercial, without any advertising, and everything that is published is completely free for all interested, I don’t think that it is a good idea to continue using Rapidshare services anymore as I do not want to force my visitors to become premium users
I received complaints the last few days from friends who are unable to download anything. Although, for me it works (I do not have a premium account), I accept that probably others have problems.
Therefore I am changing to MEGAUPLOAD.
As it is not possible for me to transfer all old files from Rapidshare to MEGAUPLOAD at once, due to my quite slow internet connection, I will try to do it gradually.
Anyway, I added the MEGAUPLOAD link for this post right now.
I hope that it will work without problems for all.
P.S. If you wonder why I have chosen MEGAUPLOAD, the reason is simple: When I download something, the easiest way for me to do it is using this particular service..

Alda Perdigão – Compacto Duplo

The problem of finding more music by Alda Perdigão beginns with the impossible task of creating a list of recordings she made… Actually beside the two LPs I got from Edson Mendes, I do not know if there are more of them existing and if yes, when they were released and under what name.
All her compactos that I know of are already posted on Toque, Chiadofone and here.
But there are some loose tracks I got from various sources…
.
So again, a trip through parallel realities revealed the fact that in one of those realities a producer for an obscure record company released a limited edition compacto duplo with the following compositions:

  1. O Primeiro Beijo
  2. Guarania da Saudade
  3. E Agora (Et maintenant)
  4. Fim de Caso

  1. Poema de Ternura
  2. Mamãe Pequenina

These two songs which were published in 1962. as a compacto simples are allready posted on Parallel Realities as they are part of Alda Perdigão‘s LP Sonata do Amor Divino. There is also no difference in the quality of the sound.
.
You may wonder why am I posting this single at all…
.
The answer is simple: I like Alda Perdigão.

Unfortunately my Internet connection plays strange tricks these days: runs like a snail, interrupts uploads etc, so I have to break the file in two parts to upload it successfully.
Excuse for the inconvenience.

Alda Perdigão (1961)

A short time ago my friend Augusto posted on his fantastic blog, Toque-musical, a collection of 3 compactos by 3 different ladies: Martha Mendonça, Dorinha Freitas and Alda Perdigão, a singer quite unknown to me.
Well, Alda sounded fantastic to me when I heard her compacto, and I wrote this in the comments under the post. I spent the whole day searching the Internet for additional music by this singer with meager results: a few loose compositions, and some covers.
But when I opened my mail, a miracle happened. Edson Mendes has read my comment on Toque and has uploaded for me this album from 1961 that I am presenting to you now.
.
Here is a text about her that Edson enclosed in the file he sent (fonte:Chiadofone):
