Tarantino e Seu Conjunto Típico – Sambas Em Tango (1960)

RGE XRLP 5086

About Maestro Tarantino I can not say that this is his premiere on Parallel Realities as well as I can not say that it is not, as there was a long time ago repost from Loronix of Maestro Aldo Taranto‘s orchestrated Sonhos, Amor e Violinas (1959).

Memoria Musical lists Maestro Tarantino and Maestro Aldo Taranto as two separate persons which I strongly doubt but there it is.

The back cover text signed with ERI (whoever that may be) started as the usual explaining of music, a practice used for avoiding any mention or details about the main artist and the musicians performing, but surprisingly at the end of the text a list appeared and it goes as follows:

Maestro Tarantino – piano
Elias Stan, Paolo Mezzaroma, Mário Tomasoni e Perez Dworeski – violinos
Alfredo Grossi, Julio Delgado e João Borsari – bandoneons
Valentim Andreotta – baixo

The track list was visible at first glance and here it is reproduced:

01. Me Dá Um Dinheiro Aí (Ivan Ferreira / Homero Ferreira / Glauco Ferreira)
02. Tome Continha de Você (Dolores Duran / Edson Borges)
03. A Noite do Meu Bem (Dolores Duran)
04. Samba de Brasília (Carvalhinho / Geraldo)
05. A Felicidade (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
06. Presidente Bossa Nova (Juca Chaves)
07. Rio de Janeiro (Ary Barroso)
08. Castigo (Dolores Duran)
09. Vem Comigo (Maysa / Henrique Simonetti)
10. Ouça (Maysa)
11. E Daí (Miguel Gustavo)
12. Chão de Estrelas (Sílvio Caldas / Orestes Barbosa)
