Tamba Trio – Magnitudes (1975)

RCA LZ-1321

A special Argentinian edition of the Tamba Trio 1975 album with two songs left out and two songs added. Clearly, the airline company Varig was the sponsor of this promotional release introducing their, to the fleet newly added DC-10, as indeed you will find photographs of the plane also on the back cover alongside the usual, towards the Brazil bound tourists aimed, pictures.
Fortunately the (Spanish) text on the back cover not only mentions Tamba Trio, but gives a text about each of all three members: Hélcio Milito, Luis Eça and Bebeto, event printing their complete names: Hélcio Paschoal Milito, Luis Mainzil da Cunha de Eça and Adalberto José de Castillo e Souza (Bebeto).

The edition consists of these compositions:

01. Las 3 de la Manana (Três Horas da Manhã) (Ivan Lins / Waldemar Correia)
02. Jugo de Fruta (Visgo de Jaca) (Rildo Hora / Sérgio Cabral)
03. Bola Bolita (Ou Bola Ou Búlica) (João Bosco / Aldir Blanc) com João Bosco
04. A Orillas del Mar (Beira-mar) (Ivan Lins)
05. Maestro Bimba (Mestre Bimba) (Luis Eça / Helcio Milito / Adalberto)
06. Chorino Nº 1 (Chorinho Nº 1) (Durval Ferreira)
07. Juego de la Vida (Jogo da Vida) (Danilo Caymmi / Sidney Miller)
08. Sanuijuela (Sanguessuga) (Toninho Horta / Fernando Brant)
09. Ventanas (Janelas) (Ivan Lins / Ronaldo Monteiro de Souza)

Hélcio Milito – Imagem Barroca Vol.2 (1969)

CBS 37600

Contrary to the previously posted album, the situation on this one is not quite clear, at least neither to me, nor to the authors of Memoria Musical, who listed this album under  “intérprete não identificado”…

I won’t make any assumptions as this parallel reality is already notorious for mistakes and blunt ignorance, but will leave the identification of musicians and all additional facts to those who know.

One fact though is clearly stated on the back cover: The artistic direction is, as on the previous album, done by Hélcio Milito:

01. Les Papillons (André Popp / Pierre Cour)
02. The Good The Bad And The Ugly (Ennio Morricone)
03. Por Alguns Dolares a Mais (For a Few Dollars More) (Ennio Morricone)
04. Mr. Spoons (Tyson)
05. O Tempo Vai Apagar (Paulo César Barros / Getúlio Cortes)
06. Foxtail (Lalo Schifrin)
07. Tomorrow’s Love (Alvaro Covacevich / Bob Russell)
08. E Não Vou Mais Deixar Você Tão Só (Antônio Marcos)
09. Barbarella (Bob Crewe / Charles Fox)
10. Scarborough Fair (Paul Simon / Art Garfunkel)
Canticle (Cântico) (Paul Simon / Art Garfunkel)

MYSTERIOUS

untill someone who knows shares his knowledge.

Hélcio Milito – Os 6 Mais Numa Imagem Barroca (1968)

CBS 37546

In the newest package I found two albums with similar names and covers, both produced by Hélcio Milito.
Here is the first one, about which there is a note on the back cover mentioning Luis Eça and Radamés Gnattali as “arranjadores e solistas de cravo”.

Still, no mystery here, except for the other performers on these compositions:

01. Carolina (Chico Buarque) Luis Eça / Radamés Gnattali
02. Eu E A Brisa (Johnny Alf)
03. Morena dos Olhos D’Água (Chico Buarque)
04. Realejo (Chico Buarque)
05. Travessia (Milton Nascimento / Fernando Brant)
06. Oferenda (Luis Eça / Lenita Eça)
07. O Circo (Sidney Miller)
08. Com Açúcar, Com Afeto (Chico Buarque)
09. O Cantador (Dori Caymmi / Nelson Motta)
10. Imagem (Luis Eça / Aloysio de Oliveira)
11. Lua Cheia (Chico Buarque / Toquinho)
12. A Praça (Sidney Miller)

NOT TOO MYSTERIOUS

especially as this album was posted on Loronix and Zeca‘s text about it may be read on Órfãos do Loronix.

Djalma Ferreira e Seus Milionarios do Ritmo – Depois do Drink (1959)

To continue with the “Make a request” action, as well as with the previous post, I have re uploaded from loronix the 1959 album by Djalma Ferreira and his millionaires (at least they had milionas de ritmos, contrary to the small change in their pockets).
