INTERESTING INFORMATION DIRECTLY FROM BRAZIL by Bossanov:
I always wanted to know, who these crazy guys, labeled as “Primo 7” on “Pinta O Sete” (Musidisc, WhatMusic) are.
Great Musician, Tranka (Tancredo Marcelino de Olivieira – bass, sax, piano, guitar, worked with: Márcia Calmon, Primo Trio, Ed Lincoln, Samba 5 (Tropicana),
Peter Thomas e seu conjunto on “O Novo Som Espetacular” (Fantasia) and with Celinho ( “O Rapaz do piston”, Equipe) say me (and for publication on your blog too), that “Primo 7” was REALLY THE GREAT!!!
Primo (João Antônio Peixoto Primo) – organ, piano (you readers know almost all about Primo‘s career)
Adão Pinheiro (Adão Nogueira Pinheiro) – piano (Conjunto Flamboyant, Breno Sauer Quarteto)
Fernando Maxnuck (Fernando Jorge Semi Maxnuk) – vibraphone (Zumba Cinco, also working witn Leny Andrade in “Rio, Bossa e Balanço” show (Mario Castro Neves, piano; Fernando Maxnuk, vibrafone; Edson Lobo, contrabaixo; Antonio Carlos Leite, bateria, also with Orlandivo’s “Samba em Paralelo” and with Chiquinho do Acordeão group on “Celebration” LP). As Sr. Tranka Olivieira say about Fernando: “Unfortunately, he passed way during a kidnapping. He saved his daughters, but couldn’t save himself. He was a good friend”
Paulo Nunes – electric guitar (great musician, also known as “Paulinho e Seus Night-Boys“, where young Baden was playng rhythm guitar and try some scat at “Baden Bop” song!!!)
Tranka (Tancredo Marcelino de Olivieira) – eletric bass (worked with: Márcia Calmon, Primo Trio, Ed Lincoln, Samba 5, Peter Thomas, Celinho etc.)
Portinho (Thelmo Martins Porto) – drums (with Tania Maria, Gato Barbieri, Mongo Santamaria, Harry Belafonte)
