Alda Perdigao Com Walter Wanderley – Compacto (1960)

A re post from the other reality where this compacto, found in third reality, was posted in the first part of 2011.
Here is the text as originally written at that time:

Some three week ago I received from Yves François, a friend from France, two songs by Alda Perdigão, a singer I like very much, she has recorded back in 1960, accompanied by the great Walter Wanderley.
Yves has downloaded these songs a long time ago from a site that is closed now, but both songs have the same fault: About 10 seconds are missing at the beginning of each track, which leads to the conclusion that the original up loader has recorded them on tape from radio.
Anyway, I had been too busy with other matters and did not have the time and concentration to do anything more than answer mails, so I delayed the presentation of these songs until I finally found time to look for a suitable cover in another reality, upload it and thought up a way to psychologically prepare the visitors of this site not to start writing comments of protest because the songs are not complete.
Complete or not, these two tracks are among the best that Alda has recorded.
So cool and easy…

Stop complaining about the missing beginnings (and have faith that maybe someone will eventually send us the complete tracks one of these days) while listening to:

1. …Samba Triste (Baden Powell / Billy Blanco)
2. …Tome Continha de Você (Dolores Duran / Édson Borges)

AN INCOMPLETE MASTERPIECE

Créditos: Yves François

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: As found on Alda Perdigão – Cantora page on Facebook:

Alda Perdigão foi a primeira intérprete a gravar uma música de Baden Powell. Na ocasião ela mostrou a gravação a ele por telefone, durante a estada do músico em Paris.

Walter Wanderley – Festa Dançante (1957)

A short time ago I received from our anonymous friend which I am refering to as The Mysterious several Mediafire links to some albums by Walter Wanderley (which I did have in my collection, by the way, but simply had no time & patience to upload to server with my slow and often breaking connection).
While trying to find out if any of those are available on other placed, I stumbled on another album by Walter Wanderley
which I did not even know that it existed (you can check it out by clicking HERE or on the “My favorites from other sites” list).
I also found out that all other albums The Mysterious sent were on other sites waiting for download, so there was no point in posting them here, but this one, which is by the way the first album Walter Wanderley has recorded (according to Memoria Musical), I could not find during this quick check.

Anyway, whether available or not, I recommend it to all interested. Note that it contains these compositions:

01. To The End Of The Earth (J. Sherman / N. Sherman)
02. Ruega Por Nosotros (Ruben Fuentes / Alberto Cervantes)
03. Anema e Core (Salvatore D’Esposito / Tito Manlio)
04. Summertime In Venice (A. Cicognini)
05. Dolores (Hubert Giraud / Raymond Bravard)
06. Não Diga Não (Tito Madi / Georges Henry)
07. Saudade da Bahia (Dorival Caymmi)
08. Como É Bom Dançar (le Piano Du Pauvre) (Léo Ferré)
09. Stella By Starlight (Ned Washington / Victor Young)
10. De Conversa Em Conversa (Lúcio Alves / Haroldo Barbosa)
11. O Orvalho Vem Caindo (Noel Rosa / Kid Pepe)
12. O Que É Amar (Johnny Alf)
