Copacabana CLP 11395
I must confess that I had no idea about the existence of cavaquinho player Waldir Silva, despite his quite large 12 career albums counting discography, until I threw a look into the latest package and fished out of it his (as I later found out) second album recorded in 1964.
The back cover fortunately provides information about Waldir Silva (up to 1964, of course) as well as a comparison with Waldir de Azevedo, written by the great Dalton Vogeler.
I recommend reading the back cover text and listening to his music:
01. S.O.S. (Waldir Silva / Manoel Santiago)
02. Samba do Ba-da-tu-blim (José Bezerra / Pepe)
03. Um Mambo Em Renascença (Waldir Silva / Juraci Lucena)
04. Palomita Blanca (A. Aieta / F. G. Gimenez)
05. O Sapo (Jaime Silva / Neusa Teixeira)
06. Seja Lá o Que Deus Quiser (Lamartine Babo)
07. Aos Heróis do Fogo (Waldir Silva)
08. Buraco de Tatu (Jair Silva / Jadir Ambrósio)
09. Noite de Saudade (Joel Honorato / Silva Borges)
10. Bigorrilho (Sebastião Gomes / Paquito / Romeu Gentil)
11. Make Haste My Love (Ulpio Minucci / Roy Jordan)
12. Fita Meus Olhos (Peterpan)
