Som Ambiente (1972)

CID 14.029

About the organ-ized para dançar conjunto Som Ambiente I know as much as nothing, except that they have released at least one career album (the one presented today) + another fact that might be interesting: The artistic production of this release is by Durval Ferreira.

Anyway, this album is quite self explaining and consist of these masterfully performed individual compositions and medleys:

01. O Bofe (Roberto Carlos / Erasmo Carlos)
02. Here’s That Rainy Day (Jimmy Van Heusen / Johnny Burke)
03. Bossa Nova In Broadway (Dave Brubeck)
04. Close To You (They Long To Be) (Burt Bacharach / Hal David)
People (Jule Styne / Bob Merrill)
      Mr. Lucky (Henry Mancini)
05. Speak Softly Love (Nino Rota / Larry Kusik)
06. Where Is The Love (J. Dorn / A. Mardin)
07. Águas de Março (Tom Jobim)
Bala Com Bala (João Bosco / Aldir Blanc)
08. The Summer Knows (Theme From “Summer Of 42”) (Michel Legrand / Alan Bergman / Marilyn Bergman)
09. By The Time I Get To Phoenix (Jimmy Webb)
The Shadow Of Your Smile (Johnny Mandel / Paul Francis Webster)
10. Days Of Wine And Roses (Henry Mancini / Johnny Mercer)
Satin Doll (Billy Strayhorn / Duke Ellington / Johnny Mercer)
April In Paris (Vernon Duke / Edgar Yipsel Harburg)
      Lill’darling (N. Hefty)
11. Live For Life (Vivre Pour Vivre) (Francis Lai / Pierre Barouh / Vrs. Norman Gimbel)
Someday My Prince Will Come (Frank Churchill / Larry Morey)

MR. LUCKY
