Clara Petraglia – Cancoes do Brasil (1958)

Westminster/Sinter SLP 5705

Periodically I get convinced that all female singers from the golden period of Brazilian music have been brought to light and that (with an exception here and there) all their albums have been posted on the net, among other places also on Parallel Realities, thanks to friends who are so kind to share them to us all.

Fortunately, every time I am proven wrong.

Happenes also now with a singer I have never heard of: Clara Petraglia for the first time on Parallel Realities and in your and my player.

Enjoy these beautifully sung traditional compositions:

01. Batuque (Tradicional)
02. Leilão (Tradicional)
03. Taieiras (Tradicional)
04. Tirana (Tradicional)
05. Gibi Bacurau (Tradicional)
06. Se Fores ao Rio Roxo (Tradicional)
07. Violeiro da Estrada (Tradicional)
08. O Que o Ouro Não Arruma (Tradicional)
09. Festa (Tradicional)
10. Dança de Caboclo (Tradicional)
11. Azulão (Jaime Ovalle / Manuel Bandeira)
12. Banho de Cheiro (Tradicional)
13. Viola Quebrada (Tradicional)
14. Boi Tungão (Tradicional)
