Sônia Delfino – Alô Broto nº 2 (1961)

I just received from Edson Mendes the third of altogether three albums by Sônia Delfino, which completes her discography in this parallel reality, or at least her career albums.

In the accompanying text, besides the track list, Edson noted some curiosities about Sônia Delfino:

–  She is niece of the great Brazilian singer Ademilde Fonseca;

–  She and Celly Campelo were considered “rivals” since their repertoire consisted of songs aimed to the youth;

–  After her initial hits, she married a Brazilian diplomat and moved from Brazil, abandoning her carreer (Celly done the same!)

–  She returned to the artistic life only in 1983 and currently sings in Rio de Janeiro in nightclubs as Rio Jazz Club, Au Bar, Vinícius Bar and Mistura Fina.

On this album from 1961 she is singing these twelve compositions + a bonus track from 1964:

01. Joãozinho e Mariazinha (Нansel And Gretel) – (N. Mann – В. Mann, versão de Fred Jorge)
02. Noite para amar – (Тоnight Му Love, Тоnight) – (Рaul Аnka, versão de Fred Jorge)
03. Jogado fora – (João Mello)
04. Bambina mia – (Вidú Reis – Murillo Latini)
05. A bola – (Вaden Рowell – Maria Нelena Toledo)
06. Manequim 46 – (Сarlos Monteiro de Souza – Alberto Рaz)
07. O barquinho – (Roberto Menesсal – Ronaldo Вôscoli)
08. Emoção (Emotions) – (M. Тillis – R. Кеаrneу, versão de Fred Jorge)
09. Bossa Nova nº 2 – (José Menezes – Alberto Рaz)
10. Nós dois e o luar – (João Roberto Kelly)
11. Manhã de sol – (Bidú Reis – Murillo Latini)
12. Pouca duração – (Pacífico Mascarenhas)

Bonus track:

13. Bolinha de sabão – (Adilson Azevedo – Orlandivo)
(this was her biggest hit, released in 1964 as a single)
