Еlizеth Саrdоsо – Nоturnо (1957)

Copacabana CLP 11013

The first 12 inch LP recorded by Еlizеth Саrdоsо, re-posted from loronix,

It is widely known that I am very fond of Еlizеth Саrdоsо, counting her as one of my top favorites. It is also widely known that I seldom comment an album, or it’s historic connotation, rather leaving this to my visitors whenever they have anything to add, explain, clarify or comment.
But I will make an exception this time, as this album is highly intriguing from my far away point of view:

A heavily orchestrated album, where at moments I have the feeling that Еlizеth is is actually competing against the orchestra to be heard at all, and where at other moments I have the sensation of sitting in a cinema, watching an old John Wayne western… And, yes! Here come the rangers riding in to resolve the fight so the good guys will win…
On the other hand, Molambo and Chão de Estrelas are not orchestrated yet  breathtaking and dramatic in their respective beauty and passion, maybe the best from Еlizеth I have ever heard, making them reason enough to listen to the complete LP over and over again.

Of course you have already decided or will decide on your favorites after listening to:
